I've been the senior pastor at Parkview church for 17 years. I am responsible for casting our core vision/identity as a church. I work to make sure all of our Ministry Teams reflect that vision in their ministries. I am responsible for the weekend teaching and for providing leadership to the church through the Board of Elders. I've been married to Carol for 28 years.

My wife Denise and I have been at Parkview since I graduated from seminary in 2002. As the Worship Pastor, my primary role is to develop a team to lead this body of believers into God's presence where we can engage with God and our perspective on life can be realigned. Having that goal in mind, I plan, lead and oversee everything pertaining to music and flow in our worship services. In 2009 I took on the role of Small Groups Pastor and now I work closely with our Men's and Women's Ministries Teams to create Life Groups in which discipleship and open, honest accountability can take place. I met Denise during college. We have been married for 15 years and have two young daughers,Zoe and Zeah.

I greatly enjoy serving in the ministry here at Parkview as I am able to communicate God's Word and live out the gospel to the students and their families here at our church and the Rapid City area. I am a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and Columbia Biblical Seminary (SC) and have served as pastor of student ministry since 1998. My wife, Kelly, and I boast of a family of diversity. I grew up in Tennessee and Kelly in Wisconsin. Our daughters Hannah (10) and Micaiah (8), were born in Columbia, SC, and our sons Emmett (4) and Zachary (2), were both born in Liberia, West Africa. My framework for student ministry includes not just students, but ministry to the "everyday youth pastors," their parents....involving parents not just as chauffeurs and snack providers, but helping them to get involved with their teenagers in their own homes.

I serve as the director of education ministries, meaning I oversee programs and staffing for Sunday School, Children's Church, AWANA, and other educational endeavors of our church. I felt God's call into ministry when I was a teenager. Although it has been a long journey into full-time ministry, God has used all of my previous experiences in preparing me for this position. With God, nothing is ever wasted! I have three grown children - Jill, Joel & Jerry - living in far-away places.

I serve as the office administrator at Parkview and oversee the day-to-day clerical responsibilities of the church office. Specific duties include preparing the Sunday church bulletin and keeping the church calendar up-to-date. My husband, Gunar, works as an engineer for the City of Rapid City and oversees the Common Energy Plant. I have three grown sons: Chad, Rapid City; Matt, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; and Josh, Kansas City, Kansas. Note: You may call or email announcements for the Sunday bulletin to me at the church office by Thursday at 9:00 am.

I have been attending Parkview Church for a little over 5 years now. I was born and raised right here in Rapid City. My husband Trevor and I were married here in 2005 and just recently welcomed our first child, Emma, into our lives. I began working in the church office in September of 2009. I am also involved with the children's church ministry here at Parkview.

Carrie Nielsen, Finance Administrator

I grew up attending this church and came on as part-time staff in August of 2002. My husband Shaun and I have 3 girls and are involved in various ministries at Parkview. I currently take care of the administrative details of the church finances, which includes tracking of all contributions, paying all bills, and maintaining the bookkeeping records for the Deacon Ministry Team.

Ken Thompson, Custodian

I joined the Parkview team almost 5 years ago. I am married to Hazele. We have 7 grown children and 4 grandchildren. At Parkview I am responsible for keeping the facilities clean and making sure the rooms are set up for various classes, meetings, and events held at the church. I am also the leader of the Trustees.
